WaterHouse Tours and Reservations is a dive travel specialty company founded in 1985 by renowned underwater photographer Stephen Frink and wife Barbara Doernbach. The original corporate objective was to package tours catering to the special needs of underwater photographers. As such, Stephen has been the tour leader for more than three dozen highly rewarding tours to dive resorts and live-aboard boats in such diverse and exotic destinations as the Red Sea, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Fiji, Africa, the Silver Bank, Australia, Palau, the Solomon Islands, and the Socorro Islands.
For Stock Photography: For the past 25 years, Stephen has been intimately involved in the business of both underwater photography and dive travel. As a photojournalist he has been sent on assignment to photograph and write about most of the major dive resorts throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas, and the Florida Keys. Barbara, a graphic designer and stock photo agent (see www.underwaterstockphotos.com) has likewise been involved promoting dive travel, both as underwater model and designer for ads and brochures for a variety of clients, including Nikonos, Divi Resorts, Peter Hughes Diving, Ocean Divers, and REEF.
The WaterHouse Tours reservations staff are all certified divers and experienced dive travelers. They understand the specific questions dive travelers ask and appreciate the unique challenges faced by dive operators. When a client wants to know what the visibility and water temperature might be in February, whether computer assisted multi-level diving encouraged, how's the night diving, or if the Nitrox is pumped by a membrane system or delivered via partial pressure blending, our staff speaks scuba and knows the right answer.
In August 2001, Key Largo Travel joined the WaterHouse team. Now, ticketing and the infrastructure of a full service travel agency adds to client convenience. Not only is dive travel our business, but also cruises, safari, and several business and leisure travel options.
